My artwork contains stories about values related to "happiness, dreams, health, and life" that I have felt and thought about so far in my life.

 

 My life values are as follows.

​

 1) If your body and mind live a healthy day by day, it becomes a "happy life."

 2) If you live a life without comparing yourself to others, without being impatient, and silently moving forward 

     at your own pace, it becomes a "satisfactory life."

 3) If you live with a positive heart and a grateful heart in everything, it becomes a "beautiful life."

 4) If you focus on your current self and live with faith and confidence in yourself, it will be a wonderful life.

 5) Life given to me is like a gift, and everything starts with my heart.

 In this way, I am expressing the materials related to my life values in my work. The panda, "Mongda" which appears in the artwork, is my most beloved animal and has a job as a delivery man who delivers happiness. Turtles also appear frequently, but in my work they are called 'Geobok.' The name is derived from Chinese characters 'geo' and 'bok', meaning 'big lucky lump'. Not only does it have the meaning of "long life," which is well known to us, but it also shows the importance of not being impatient in my work, but also moving forward with ease of mind at one's own pace.  Fruits and vegetables mean a healthy life. Gift boxes also appear, which means that you should focus on yourself in the present (PRESENT) and live with gratitude every day because life is like a present (PRESENT). The rainbow colors express respect and consideration for "difference", respect and consideration for each other's uniqueness like rainbow colors, and not just difficult and difficult times in our lives, but also hope to live "dream" and "hope" after rain.

 

Things that can feel happy are not far away. It's always in my heart. If you let go of your vague worries and worries about the future that no one knows for a while and focus on your current "me" and live your life with a positive mind, there will be more and more days to face the happy world. ​

 There is a word "Spielraum," which is a combination of German "Spiel" and "Raum."
It refers to my own play space where I can relax and relax without being disturbed by others, and it refers to a space where I can regain my full self-worth and recreate my life as well as rest.

Like the meaning of "Spielraum," I would like to show "my own Spielraum" through various artwork activities that allow me to reveal myself and dream of a new life without being tired of being alone. I would like to present you with the feeling of "this moment" of appreciating works full of healthy and happy energy. I hope it will be a time to relax for a while as if you were having fun discovering treasures in Finding Hidden Pictures, which you would have done at least once in your childhood.

 나의 작업에는 내가 지금까지 살면서 느끼고 생각해온 ‘행복, 꿈, 건강, 인생’과 관련한 가치관에 대한 이야기가 담겨져 있다.

 

 나의 인생가치관은 다음과 같다.

​

 1) 몸과 마음이 건강한 하루하루를 살아간다면, ‘행복한 인생’이 된다.

 2) 남과 비교하지 않고,조급해 하지 않고,자신만의 속도에 맞추어 앞을 향해 묵묵히 나아가는 삶을 살아간다

     면, ‘만족스러운 인생’이 된다.

 3) 매사에 긍정적인 마음과 감사하는 마음을 가지며 살아간다면, ‘아름다운 인생’이 된다.

 4) 현재의 ‘나’ 자신에게 집중하며 스스로에 대한 믿음과 자신감을 가지고 살아간다면, ‘멋진 인생’이 된다.

 5) 내게 주어진 인생은 ‘선물’과 같은 것이고, 모든 일들은 ‘내 마음’에서부터 시작되어진다.

 이렇게 내 나름대로 정리하여 본 인생가치관과 관련 된 소재들을 작품 속에 등장시켜가며 표현해가고 있다.

 작품 속 등장하는 판다곰 ‘몽다(夢다)’는 내가 가장 사랑스러워하는 동물로, 행복을 전달하는 배달원이라는 직업을 가지고 있다. 거북이도 자주 등장을 하는데 내 작품 속에서 ‘거복이’라고 불리운다. 한자 클 ‘거’와 복 ‘복’에서 따온 이름으로,  ‘커다란 복덩어리’를 뜻한다. 우리에게 잘 알려져 있는 ‘장수’의 의미도 가지고 있을 뿐만 아니라, 내 작품 속에서는 조급해하지 않고, 자신만의 속도에 맞추어 마음의 여유를 가지고 앞을 향해 나아가는 마음가짐에 대한 중요성을 나타내고 있다.  과일과 야채들은 건강한 삶을 의미하고 있다. 선물상자들도 등장을 하는데, 이는 인생은 선물(PRESENT)과 같은 것이기 때문에 현재(PRESENT)의 나에게 집중을 하고, 하루하루를 소중히 감사한 마음으로 살아가야 한다는 내용이 담겨져 있다. 작품 속 무지개색으로 표현된 것들에는 ‘다름’에 대한 존중과 배려, ‘고진감래/새옹지마‘ 의 의미를 가지고 있다. 무지개빛깔처럼 다양한 사람들이 가지고 있는 각자의 고유성에 대해 서로에 대한 다름을 존중하고 배려하며, 비가 온 뒤 맑게 게인 하늘에서 보여지는 무지개처럼, 우리의 인생에도 항상 어렵고 힘든 시간만 있는 것이 아니라, 그 시간을 견디고 나면, 좋은 날로 이어지니, 낙담하지 말고 ‘꿈’과 ‘희망’을 가지며 살아갔으면 하는 바람을 담고 있다.

 

행복한 감정을 느낄 수 있는 것들은 멀리 있지 않다. 내 마음 속에 항상 자리 해 있다. 어느 누구도 알 수 없는 미래에 대한 막연한 근심과 걱정들은 잠시 내려두고 현재의 ‘나’에게 집중하여 긍정적인 마음으로 삶을 살아간다면 행복한 세상과 마주하는 날들은 점점 많아지고 가까워질 것이다.

 독일어 ‘놀이(Spiel)’와 ‘공간(Raum)’을 합쳐 만든 ‘Spielraum(슈필라움)’이란 단어가 있다.  
타인에게 방해받지 않고 휴식을 취하고 여유를 가질 수 있는 나만의 놀이 공간을 뜻하는 말로, 휴식뿐만 아니라 온전한 자기다움을 되찾고 자신의 삶을 재창조 할 수 있는 공간을 뜻한다.   

 ‘슈필라움’의 의미처럼 혼자 있어도 지겹지 않고, 마음껏 자신을 드러내며 새로운 삶을 꿈꿀 수 있는 ‘나만의 슈필라움’을 다양한 작업활동을 통해 보여드리고자 한다. 건강하고 행복한 기운으로 가득한 작품들을 감상하는 ‘지금 이 순간’의 감정을 선물드리고 싶다. 작품 속의 아기자기한 풍경들을 대하며 마치 어릴 적 한번쯤 해 보았을 ‘숨은 그림 찾기’ 속 보물을 발견하는 재미를 느끼듯 잠시나마 마음의 휴식을 취할 수 있는 시간이 되었으면 하는 바람이다.
